WordPress saves the day, again.

I often hear folks discussing a problem and I wonder ‘can WordPress solve this’? It happened again the other day. A sales person sells ad space to an advertiser. The designer builds the ad and sends the ad to the sales person via email. The advertiser reviews the ad and emails changes to the sales person, which forwards those changes to the designer. Then the designer has questions, yadda, yadda, yadda. It quickly turns into too many emails back and forth.

The solution we came up with is: the designer posts the ad to a new ‘Post’ in WordPress and enables comments for the post. Then sends the sales person the shortlink, which they forward to the advertiser. The advertiser can then simply go to the shortlink (URL) to leave comments for the designer. The designer simply replies to the advertisers comment when the ad is updated.

This reduces emails and allows the advertiser to communicate directly with the designer.
