Restaurant Website Redesign for La Creperie & French Bakery

restaurant website redesign before and afterLa Creperie & French Bakery of Fort Collins desperately needed a website redesign. Their previous website was static and difficult to update. It was not mobile-responsive, therefore it was tiny on smart phones, and it had a dated look. It was time for a redesign!

I had been stopping-by La Creperie for breakfast, taking pictures of the delicious and gorgeous food, and posting the photos to their Facebook page. One day, the owner came over to my table, complimented me on the photos, and asked what I did. I told her I did website design, graphic design, hosting, photography, and search engine optimization. We scheduled a meeting, and at that meeting we discussed what she wanted in a website redesign. She said she wanted a new look, and that she liked the website design I did for the Red Table Cafe. She also said she liked my food photography, so she wanted me to take some pictures of a few dishes and of a few bakery items.

I went back to my studio in Old Town and started working on a few website designs. I showed her the designs, and she and her husband picked one. The redesign lets the food be the center of attention. The design is also mobile responsive, so the website is easy to use on mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets.

I’m also hosting her new website, built in WordPress. She’s now paying less than half of what she was paying her previous hosting provider. As part of her hosting package with me, I back-up her site and keep her website software up to date, so it’s safe and secure from hackers.

We scheduled a good day and time I could come-in with my camera, tripod, tablecloth, and reflective boards. I stopped-by at a time when the restaurant was relatively slow. I got my table all ready, and started ordering one dish after the other. As each arrived, I quickly made whatever small adjustments that were needed, and started taking pictures. When I was done with one dish, I set it aside and the next dish arrived. I took home 5 to-go boxes that day.

Because the bakery items were stable (they didn’t have whipped cream or syrup), I took those home to shoot.

It was a real pleasure working with everyone at La Creperie and French Bakery of Fort Collins. I highly recommend their food!
